Free Red Line Walking Tour on May 16th
On May 16th we’d like to invite you to a free Red-Line Walking tour in the center of Yekaterinburg. The Red Line tour is a part of the Night in the Museum event.
The tour is arranged for visitors of Yekaterinburg, expats and all English speaking people. We’ll start at the monument to the city founders by the dam and proceed to the Literary Quarter, Church on the Blood, Opera Theatre, QWERTY monument etc.
Date and time: May 16th (Saturday) at 15.30
Meeting point: the Monument to the City Founders of Yekaterinburg on Prospect Lenina near the Iset River. Finish at the same place
Duration: 2.5 hrs
The Red Line project started in 2011 as a blog by Dmitry Kalaev. The Internet users were voting for the best sites in the center of Yekaterinburg. Eventually, 35 historic objects were chosen including the Church on the Blood, Opera Theatre, the Beatles monument, QWERTY monument, Literary Quarter etc. The Red Line was drawn on June 18 2011. Its length is 6.5 kilometers.
